Flotec model FPOS1775A runs intermittently
I have a 2 year old Flotec model FPOS1775A. It has started shutting off after running for approx. 30 sec. It will come back on in about 1 min., run for 30 sec., then shut off again. This cycle continues for about 5 or 6 cycles, then it won't come on again. If I take the hose off, it runs just fine with a geyser approx 5 feet high. I have used the same 5/8'' garden hose the whole time, with no kinks. Water does come out of it for about 30 sec. as I stated before.

The motor is sensing high back pressure and shutting down. After several tries it goes into lockout for a period to prevent damage. Check the impeller for anything that could be slowing it down. Last resort is a larger discharge hose run as straight as possible. It may just be a case of the pump getting tired after 2 years of use.

Air bubble. fully submerse pump in a bucket,keep hose off, tilt pump to get air bublles fully out, replug unit in and should work
