We have a V3835 that says the same thing. So I had to ask why I'm able to purchase a replacement foam seal for a foodsaver that supposedly has a seal that can't be removed. I ordered the seal, tore out the old one, and used alcohol and Q-tips to clean out the seal track. This took some time and patience. I then used Krazy glue to glue the new foam seal on. In 15 min we were back in business. Mechanical mind, alcohol, Q-tip, and Krazy Glue kicks label's behind!
Ah, those FoodSavers. They are pesky little devils. If it's not your bags then it's probably a dry seal. Mine said I couldn't remove the seals (funny thing, they seem to pop out themselves despite being 'glued') but I knew a trick. I put very wet paper towels in between the seals & left them overnight. The next day I rubbed a small amt of olive oil over the seals to keep them from drying out or shrinking. I now do this anytime it seems to be taking longer to get a good vacuum out of it. You are not using a "good" bag. Make sure there are no holes and that the bottom and sides of the bag are properly sealed. It will run all day and not pull the air out if the seal is broken anywhere.
