all right guys i have a solution for this but it will require some work first:
Mount the nano (plug it in)
Navigate to X:\iPod_Control\Device\ (where X is the drive letter of the iPod)
Find the file called "_locked" and open it with Notepad or TextEdit
now u should get some thing like : Vôáijåö\féúPbíþT~ñâHzõæLvùê@rýîD as the text but its not that con fusing to show here are two diffrent codes
Vôáijåö\féúPbíþT~ñâHzõæLvùê@rýîD the same! ]óãhjåö\féúPbíþT~ñâHzõæLvùê@rýîD so in fact the part that matters is the first 4.... and its a 4 digit code!!
soooo i have made a guide line.. for u to match up your code with
0000 ^ðàk 1111 _ñáj
2222 \òâi
3333 ]óãh
4444 Zôäo
5555 [õån
6666 Xöæm
7777 Y×çl
8888 Vøèc
9999 Wùéb now how does this help ?? well i set my code as 1234 and this is what the first 4 digits were: _òão
if u look at the first one and compare to the guide it shows that the first digit is 1 the second 2 the third 3 and the last is 4! taaa daaaa!!!!
1st Find a file and open it then go to tool at the top then folder options... then to the view tab, go down to hidden files and folders and click the circle that says "show hidden files and folders" then click ok. Open My computer\USB\iPod_Control\Device\ Find the file called "_locked" and remove it from the ipod and the ipod would be unlocked but you will not have any lock onit after that so you have to get a open "_locked" file from another ipod to get the lock back. and thats how you unlock it but at a price of no lock on you ipod..
