Format and Check SD card
My Camera will not take any memory card of 1 GB. I was in Walmart and was told they no longer make anything less than 1GB. I am now unable to take pictures or delete on my only 1GB memory card. It keeps telling me to Format and if I do that I will loose what is one my memory card and any other card I try tells me to check SD card. This is very frustrating. Any suggestions.

Purchase an inexpensive card reader such as the Ativa, available at Staples and Office Depot for $9.95. Put your memory card with the photos on it into the reader and plug it into a USB port on your computer. Windows will recognize it as another drive and assign it a drive letter. Using any graphics program, or Windows Explorer, navigate to that drive, open the file containing the pics, click select all, and copy the pics to a file on your computer. Make sure that all the pics have transferred or copied to the new file. Replace the card back into your camera and format the card so it is empty and ready to receive new pics. FYI: Less than 1 gig memory cards are available on ebay for dirt prices. Also, go to the camera manufacturers website and see if they have a firmware update for your camera that allows larger than 1 gig cards to be used. I had to do that for my Fuji S700 so I could use 4 gig cards. It used to max out at 2 gigs. If this has solved your problem please rate it accordingly. Good luck.
