This error has been identified , and verified by myself when I first got it after playing BF4 the first few days it was out and got the message during the loading screen, to be an internal storage issue rather than any sort of connection problem. Most fast fixes recommend backing up your games, saves, etc. and formatting the HDD to original state to clear what is basically 'read-only' tagged info that is usually newer content or from an external source lke camera's, mp3,etc. How this content got set to a state where it can't be deleted individual is anybody's guess, but mine was the BF4 save data that caused it. I realized this when I popped in BF3 and loaded fine into campaign saved data as well as multiplayer matches with all custom options intact as well as playing a free to play MMO Dust with no issues or lost data. Glas I had only been playing for a couple days and didn't lose much other than level1-2 of the campaign. Strangely enough, the load-outs, server filters, etc. that are stored on EA's external servers remained as I had set them, but the local info (I.e. save data) was corrupt leaving the main options of controller, audio, video, etc. were set to default each time I played the game and reverted to the initial movie cut screen on the campaign mode. What is weird is that it would let me save and continue flawlessly until I turned of the PS3 and then it reared it's ugly head. Hope this helps and you are able to save most of your stuff seing as how it seems to be only from one source, folder, etc. that causes the problem.
Directly after posting my earlier "FIX" of finding the file/folder/ style="display:none;">Directly after posting my earlier "FIX" of finding the file/folder/data causing the issue i began thinking there had to be a reason why people were saying "connection issue" so i restored my console to the state it was in when i baced up before the HDD format and starting tinkering around with my network options. I FOUND THAT IT COULD BE A 'NETWORK STATUS' ISSUE CREATED IN THE SAVED DATA INFO OF A SPECIFIC FILE! When i originally installed and played the game i was online as well as most of the time when i played. However, i remembered not wanting to deal with the COMPLETELY integrated "Battlelog" feature or messages when trying out the campign so i set my Network Connection to Disabled. When i went back and received the error code again, I thne hit the button to go into the menu WHILE IN-GAME, and went over and set my Network Connection back to Disabled. i got the usual "You must quit the game in order to continue" to which i clicked "ok", and then went offline. I then went back and clicked on the game to load it up and VOILA! NO MORE 'LOAD DATA ERROR 80030001', but did of course recieve the "error, you are not connected to a network and this game requires network connectivity for some features' message. I then followed the directions of going back to the Network menu and enabling my network and the ERROR DID NOT COME BACK! I once again restored to previous state where i got the error to see if it would work doing it before loading the game and IT DID NOT, so it must be something specific to whatever media you are dealing with when you get it, the status, or change of status, to your network connection the last time save data was written. Hope this helps BEFORE you format.
