Freezer cold, fridge isnt. Vent issue. Please Help before thaw!
98 Kitchenaid Superba side by side. The freezer gets cold but the fridge dosent. There is an air transfer vent from the top corner of the freezer to the fridge. This vent has a solenoid in it with a louvered vent that opens and closes and has a thermo sensor in it. I believe this is what regulates the fridge temp. It is open at the moment so it is working. If I open the freezer cold air from the coils in the back of the freezer pours through the vent. When I close the freezer no air comes through it. So there is either a vent from the fridge to the freezer or from outside air to freezer thats plugged. I cant find it for the life of me. Please help!

Is there any ice/snow whatsoever built-up on the rear panel of the freezer ????(very important to know this).
If so, you have a problem with the frost free part of your fridge,causing it to ice-up,
and blocking the air flow to the fridge section.
Repost, and we should be able to go from there.
