Freezing in the last big battle for the first island
I end up skipping first cutscene of guys marching to battle because it has frozen before but after the goddess finishes explaining about the battle and start moving to begin fighting the game immediatly freezes and I have to manually reset the ps3.

If that doesnt help you will most likely need to replace either the game(if the disk is scratched) or the lens if the problem happens in more than one game.
Actually what I meant to type was that you will have to replace either the Game or the PS2.
Check the the game for scratchs or dirt if therew are any that may be causeing the freezing if no scratchs then it might be the lens
