Fuel system Husqvarna mower
My wife put dirty diesel fuel in the mower and ran it until it quit, which did not take long. I drained the tank, lines, filter and pump. When I took the float bowl off of the carburator to drain and clean it, it was dry. What am I missing here? The machine still won't start. I have good spark and it will fire with a bit of gas in the throat,

In the carburetor, the needle and seat above the float are stuck shut most likely. Make sure the float will move up and down. you should get a fuel flow when the float drops below horizontal. If this does not happen you will need to blow through the fuel lines to clean them out.
