Fuji FinePix F700 LCD & Zoon Lens
Fuji FinePix F700, rarely used. Turned on power and LCD screen had distorted colors. Tried sutting off power then turning back on and LCD was blank. Also, zoom lens comes out but does not always go back in. It is necessary to turn camera and on off several times before lens wil go back in completely.
Sent camera to Fuji and they sent back a $100 estimate stating that my camera had "no power". Didn't make sense as the camera did have power just before it was sent to Fuji.
Any feedback is appreciated.

Is the battery fully charged? Or is the battery near the end of its useful life? Some batteries hold a charge better than others-- I have 2, both used well, and one seems to last longer than the other...
