As a second opinion, I would first recommend removing the bobbin case and putting it back in, making sure that it is in the proper position. Consult your users manual for proper positioning. It is possible that your bobbin case has slipped out of it's intended position and is obstructing the needle. If this is the case, it will likely need to be replaced to prevent thread breakages and stitch faults. If you adjust the bobbin case and still have trouble, I would agree with SewTechWayne, either your hook timing, needle bar timing, or bobbin case placement have been comprimised, or you have a broken gear. All of which would require professional attention.

The hook timing is probably off. Needs to go in to the shop.
