Have you tried restarting? It's different from resetting. You have to keep his tongue down (as if you're feeding him) while resetting. This worked for me when Furby didn't move, only made sound. Good luck! (If you still have it, it's May already)
Ok this is really helpful and fixed my furby so look plz
hold down the reset button for 10-20 secs
I think it may be the batteries. I have tried the same thing with 2 different furbies both new in box from ebay and one didnt work at all while one worked for a moment then stopped working. I think the old school AA batteries are different to the batteries of today. Try to get your hands on some old school batteries.
If your talking about the new ones, take off the battery pack and press the refresh button.
I also got a new furby from ebay this morning and wont work... Im trying to figure out how to work it. Its an original furby baby and i might add if i find a solution...
It seems as if the ordeal of being put up for sale on ebay may be having a traumatic effect on these furbies. I would suggest taking them to a qualified psychiatrist to get them talking again.
Furby's from 1998 that are NIB, may "die" after not be activated for so long. I've had one come back to life after going through the activation sequence. At first it did nothing, then after a hour it just started up. I opened two, I'm still waiting for the other one to reboot.
I just fixed my sons furby last night with a little trick. On the right side of the Furby when you are looking at it is where the speaker is. If you cut a small slit in the fur you will see the speaker right underneath. It is a tan looking plastic thing with a whole bunch of holes in it. Get a small nail or something and gently put the tip into one of the holes pressing very very carefully on the membrane underneath. Make sure the Furby is on and moving while you were doing this. Try pushing different spots in the speaker membrane you may find that when you touch a certain spot is starts to talk to you again. I think there's a short or something under the membrane sometimes. if you can find the spot that talks when you push on it find a little teeny screw about a centimeter or so long that has a flat end instead of a pokey one and screw it into the hole so that it continuously pushes against the membrane and then you will have a happy furby and a happy kid
The problem is the SPEAKER...yes..it has no quality,..after some time, it stop working. All you need to do is to change it for another one and Furby start working again. I did this with my Daughter's Furby Boom.
