Have a Furuno 1622. Stopped working and there are vertical lines moving horizontally across the screen, interior lights flicker with radar pulses. Electrical smell! Disconnected everything. Display screen seems to run ok with no radar dome connected. Found water coming out of the cable which connects to the screen! My guess is, since inside the radar dome everything looks bone dry, that there must be a chafe in the cable to the radar dome, and water is coming into the insulated cable and weeping out the connector inside the boat @ the screen.

Wonder if anyone else has ever seen this? Haven't checked the furuno website but probably need to get a replacement cable.
