G5 Kirby Vacuum...makes a loud noise on initial startup and then runs smoothly...it does this for both the attachment and powerbase...I cleaned out the passageways...Im thinking its the belt but if thats true...why does it do that with the attachment? help pls!!

Check your fan for stress cracks around the center, rotate while off for resistance or any noise. these frequently crack and rub against the inside of the housing. also listen and feel for bad bearings
