Two things to check...use the disconnect handle where it attaches the door to the opener, then see if the door will open manually easily, if it does, the door is ok, if it doesn't LOOK at the springs that raise it. DO NOT try to adjust the springs yourself!!!!! if one of them is broken, call a service Co. to handle the repair. Also, check if the door is level. an easy way to eyeball it is to look at the rollers in the track while the door is closed. they should all be the same distance between the hinge on the door and the track. NEVER TRY TO MESS WITH THE SPRINGS!!!!!! THEY CAN SEVERELY INJURE YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!
