Gas began running out of the tube that exits the top of the carburator on the Yamaha TTR-50. So much gas that I had to use a gas can to put the excess gas into. It appeared to be leaking from the carburator itself also. Any suggestions?

Hi,sounds like the float in the carb is stuck in the fully open position,you will have to take the carb out,take the bowl off the bottom of the carb and inspect the float needle assembly,the little clip that holds the float to the needle valve may have come off,allowing fuel to run unchecked into the carb and ultimately out through the overflow..hope this helps..cheers
