You must keep the burner and the pilot light area clean and free of dust also, the area where your burner gets air most of the time it has an adjustment to give it more or less air.I have had my dyna glo vent free model for 8 years.A good cleaning in late fall with low pressure air and 1 or 2 times through the winter depending on conditions of use. gatesmason88
What model of majestic fireplace do you have, depending on the type of gas fireplace or log set, there could be different solutions to your problem, more information is needed to give a proper solution. Also describe how the flame fades away and if the flame goes out completely, etc etc.
