Computers & Internet - Gateway - Solo - Solo 1450 Notebook
You need to have a working Windows CD Installer to resolve this corrupt issue.
When you have the CD, load it while your computer is starting up, and then it will start to run the Windows setup program. Follow the on-screen instructions.
When you pressed the "r" key in the keyboard as detailed in the error message above, you will be prompted to start from drive C: or other drive. Press "1" to choose drive C then enter. If there is a password, then the previous owner might have setup a password for the drive.
when you are in drive C, a prompt like this appears: C:\Windows> or C:\> just type in the command chkdsk \r to do the actual disk repair. It is "chkdsk \r" => there is a space between k and \.
