GE DECT 6.0 Model 28111EE2 is not working, registration failed message
All of a sudden, one of my handsets from the GE DECT 6.0 model 28111EE2 stopped working. First, it constantly shows a message on the screen that says "Searching...". This happens even when next to the base. Second, when trying to register the handset, it gives an error message that says "Registration Failed".
I have also noticed that when I try to go to the menu and reset the handset to the factory settings, it gives me 2 beeps and does nothing, as opposed to the good handset which I choose to reset to factory settings, gives 1 beep and shows you a succesful message.

I had the same problem, and restoring to default settings did not seem to work either. I just opened the back, unplugged the battery, plugged it back in, and now it works again.
Same problem
Phone was working fine.
Then starting beeping to each other, I have 2.
Then now gets handset needs registration of both phone.
Are batteries wearing out?
