Did you read the ADDED comment I just made as to PRAMAC. etc?
2ndly - Did you try calling them as of yet? If not then MON morning? Don't consider yourself totally doomed unless you have MAJOR engine problems there that you haven't mentioned here in post. After all - all you said originally is that you were just looking for the gas/oil mix ratio, and I already gave that to you twice now.
And lastly - Is your Genset there even in a runnable condition to begin with? Did you buy it NEW or 2nd hand as in USED?

six8rhino,
Did you read the ADDED comment I just made as to PRAMAC. etc?

I'm not offended at all - but rather disappointed at times when a person (namely me) has to ask the same ? at least 3-4 times, and all they get back in return is a 2-3 word answer! Not even a decent sentence making any sense at all.
See my point?
We highly Degreed and highly Skilled Tech people (myself that is - can't speak for everyone here at FIX-IT) that have gone through this ourselves (1000 times over at times) offer our expert opinions and expert help, and get NOTHING in return. Not even a Thank You at times.
Some of the absolutely LAME answers given here make me at times laugh out loud ROTFLMAO, and wonder where some of these so-called GURU & EXPERT & GENIUS people come from - as some of their (Google Searched) answers are as wrong/lame as the stupid GOP government we have at present, but yet both think they too are a Godsend!
In my regular Consulting Business I charge $45 an hour to solve 1000's of people's problems, and the clients are VERY grateful to say the least! I sure wish I could charge that here at FIXIT.COM, but they only pay $6 for every accepted answer given.
I'm still not sure if I even want to waste my day to day time here doing the FIX-IT LIVE CHAT scenario at $6 a FIX as it were. They already invited me to do so, as from my EXPERT advice given so far.
My self-employed home Electronics repair time is way more valuable to me, and I only charge $20/hr for that alone - repairing electric scooters and bikes as a side business. Very rewarding work though, as I get many a THANK YOU - WELL DONE, and that right there is worth way more then any money part as it were. Sometimes you just can't buy happiness as it were!
You realize how hard I'd have to work at FIX-IT.COM just to make $45 an hour equivalent here - to equal what usually only takes me 5-10 mins of my regular Main Bldg Consulting time whether on-site or on the phone? I'd be dead in a week here at FIX-IT - esp after what I went through here just with you.
Btw - my on-site Bldg charge (whether I'm there 5 mins or the 2 hours base fee) is a non-negotiable Flat Rate of $180, which doesn't cover extra driving mileage outside of a 15 mile radius. Every 15 mile zone there after is extra, and costs another $45. Gas isn't free, and neither is my time! Extra on-site time is also flat rate $45 an hour as well. NO BONES or I walk! Can't deal with CHEAP people, as we all have to make a living these days! Now you know.....
I didn't get my business card posted motto for nothing!
I also run circles around the so-called EXPERTS everyday!
And they try and charge $600 a day whether there for 5 mins or 5 hours! Who do you think solves their client's problems that they can't? Thank you very much......I rest my case!
So when I ask a few SIMPLE ??'s and get nothing logical back in return - until just now that is anyway - it always makes me wonder. What the hell does this person really want anyway? They surely aren't being "definitive" here anyway!
Had you just said and explained yourself 4 postings ago what you finally posted here - it would have been a SLAM DUNK from posting reply #1.
I almost hate to ask this ? because it's probably you that will be offended - but by any chance are you a College Professor yourself - either past retired or still teaching?
Reason I have to ask is because you fit that mold perfectly, and I've dealt with more then 1 in my past consulting days, and let me tell you - they are by far the MOST difficult people to talk to much less get an answer out of! I won't even mention the word CHEAP here! Oh - there it is - I let it slip - damn! I guess it goes with the job territory huh?
And - that 2 dB difference you talked about - that some "professor" monitored for you - was it a Certified & CALIBRATED dB meter, or just some mediocre accurate at best Made in China RADIO SHACK model not worth a hill of beans? Big difference when you factor in the Made in China ERROR %. I've seen some JUNK and then again I've seen some REAL JUNK!
Just wait until all this CHEAP **** that was "Made in China" ALL breaks down (not that it hasn't already as from what I said in a prior post) and we have nothing here to replace that JUNK with. Who do you think will fix all this cheap China JUNK? Surely not China! It's coming faster then you know...
Like I said before - I'll take an OHV 4-stoke over a noisy & polluting 2-stroke any day - for all the right reasons, AND the MANY ADVANTAGES far outweigh all the DISADVANTAGES of a 2-stroke - just like I said before. PERIOD! While you're paying $2+ a quart for your mix oil I'm getting a free $2 worth of gas right off the bat! There's advantage #1 right there. Want more?
Now that you answered your own ? yourself btw - and you just did here this time around - finally - if you don't know by now what mix to use then NO ONE can help you - as you are making this HARDER then pulling teeth from a mule's jaw as it were!
I'll give you 1 last clue and then you truly are on your own as it were - as it seems you don't like to listen to common sense - much less EXPERT advice.
Here's your CLUE in your own words -
My ex-neighbor had a 55 gallon drum of mixed gas in his garage (lawn care business).

If you really read anything I posted - esp the part about PRAMAC then you have all the ANSWERS, and not just 1.
Why you would even be calling a phone # posted anywhere even once (whether I posted site info or not for DIAGRAM purposes only), esp after I stated that Powermate went BANKRUPT, and ALL their INVENTORY was purchased by PRAMAC is beyond me!
Again - I say - I'm not offended at all - just rather disappointed that you (and many others just like you) don't like to read anything, much less the proper information given here, and then use it to your advantage.
I wish you well and please - when you buy your nest bottle of 2-stroke oil for your everyday plain-jane 2-stroke Genset there - do me a favor - PLEASE READ THE LABEL info on the bottle - as it's really a no-brainer!
