ATS PANEL WILL NOT CLOSE WITH NORMAL POWER APPLIED.
1.Proper normal line power not available at line terminals in ATS panel.
2.Defective holding coil in line side contactor.
3.Broken or defective mechanical/electrical inter
locks.
4.Defective Start Stop Relay.
5 Defective Phase Failure Monitor. (Three Phase
Units only)
6.Phase Rotation wrong to the Phase Failure

When the incoming (power company) voltage resumes,
it energizes a timer until the power is stabilized, usually about 5 minutes.
The timer contacts drop the generator contactor out, dropping the load for about
a 1/4 of a second and re-energizing the incoming voltage contactor.
The generator usually stays running up to 10 minutes to cool down and it then
shuts its self off. The transfer switch is then ready for the next power failure.
check also if the generator can manually be started and manually be stopped. When the incoming (power company) voltage resumes, it energizes a timer until the power is stabilized, usually about 5 minutes. Hi
cr8dog,
Actually the manual and specs only says :
It doesn't have to do in turning off, you may need to do it Manually.
or have additional Circuits ( Magnetic Contactors and circuits ) to
do the things ( cutting and turning off the generator ).
Specify also what make and model the genset you are having
to give you more additional info, should you wish to have it
activated or test it manually.
Although some says it just like a thermostat inside the fridge.
but i don't, till i know the model and circuits involve.
