Getting error beeps-1-8-2-1 and I need diag. chart info
Getting error beeps--1-8-2-1 after careful cleaning and re-installing cables and plugs. HD was working fine before, and I used it in my Gateway Pent. III to check-OK, but getting a yellow HD light on front panel-tried reset-no help.
Used to work fine in this AMD AthlonPro 800Mhz-Via KT 133 ChipSet- with Systemax. Built in 2000 by Tiger

Try removing all connections to M/board except for Video card and memory and boot if computer boots with no beeps try fitting others one at a time until beeps happen that is faulty unit
if will not boot without beeps try different memory
Also check cables into hard drive are fitted correctly
stripe goes nearest 4 pin power plug on H/D CD DVD and floppy
