Getting into service mode on a CLC5000
All the info I can find says to enter *-28-* to enter the service mode on a Canon CLC 5000. So... where is the * ??? The unit powers up to a "Ready to copy" screen and there is no asterisk on the numeric pad or LCD touch screen.

Sometimes it is actually a sysbol that looks like a prifile of a face or head. I'll post a pic if you need it. I hope this helps.
OK, I have been wondering about this one and I think I got it figured out. On the left side of the machine there is a button that says "additional functions". You will have to lift up the flap. Use that key instead of the * key. Try that and PLEASE reply back. I'd like to know if that is the case. Thanks.
