Good day. My LG TV suddenly went black. It had sound but no picture. When I tried to switch it on again, it briefly flashed the logo but went black again. Please any suggestions?

Your backlight inverter board is likely bad. If you're handy it is relatively easy to replace. Google for replacement part.
if you can see a picture while shining a flashlight on the screen then it is most likely the inverter board. Backlights provide the light through the lcd screen for brightness.
