Good day. We have a question regarding Cosco Alpha Omega 3in1 car seat. We installed 2 of them in our 2005 Subaru Outback. We followed the instructions and tightened all of the staps but there seems to be a lot of lateral movement ( side to side) on the bottom. It appears to be much greater than the 2 in max outlined in the manual. Is there something that you can recomend?
Sometimes it works best if you have two people to install the seat. Have one person put their knee in the carseat and apply pressure down into the seat, while the other person tightens the seatbelt/straps.
Love using two people to install, makes the seat nice and tight. Also be sure, if you are using the LATCH system to install it, that you are only securing it with the system and not the seat belt. You need to use one or the other. Also, if it moving so much around, call your local fire/police department and they may do car seat safety checks or know who in your area could help you get it nice and tight.Love using two people to install, makes the seat nice and tight.
