Got a PE2FPW Little Giant pump. worked last summer. Cleaned it and stored it in house over winter. Pump hums but will not run. Very hard to turn the white plastic impeller by hand. what can I do? Four years old now

It sounds like the impeller bearing has become contaminated. It is common for plastic type pumps to develop this problem, and unfortunately to replace the pump section from the motor is usually the same cost as a completely new unit. You can attempt to pull the pump away from the motor yourself, and soak the bearing with marine grease, but this is a lot of work for a short time fix, but be careful as 4 year old plastics can be brittle and it is very easy to snap vital parts.
