Gotta 99 Mercury cougar 2.5litre,v6, won't turnover. Lights and dash come on, but won't turnover. I checked fuses, 1 for fuel was blown, need sum help diagnosing, thnx
All electrical connections must be cleaned when you say won't turn over do you mean the engine cranks and you have power or just a click or nothing at all ? All of us are not there obviously so we all need for you to post in specific terms ok now back to the pssible issue ////after cleaning all the cable connections for the battery the engine ground and the power distribution box cable and bolt lug try to crank the engine if it cranks but no start still exists go back and check the blown fuse you had ? Again what fuel Injectors ,throttle body, fuel pump, fuel pump relay on the same circuit as something else etc.and see if it's still blown again or is the fuse good if it was for the fuel pump check the relay and change it try again if still nothing pour some gas into the throttle body and try to start it if it turns over for thirty seconds and then dies you have a 100% fuel delivery problem if it doesn't run check for spark and check the plugs most likely your fuel pump went
Oh yeah no brushes on battery post and terminals only steel wool lightly with alcohol or even window cleaner will do and the terminals must be tight if you can twist them they are no goodOh yeah no brushes on battery post and terminals only steel wool lightly with alcohol or even window cleaner will do and the terminals must be tight if you can twist them they are no good
Also if you get the cranking pour fuel into the throttle body and see if it runs the dies if so bad fuel pump or possible driver module for it is n/g go back to first post answers and tryAlso if you get the cranking pour fuel into the throttle body and see if it runs the dies if so bad fuel pump or possible driver module for it is n/g go back to first post answers and try
