Gps can't find me
When I go to gps mode i get a message auto detecting gps receiver . it look like it's searching gps receiver can't find it It looks like a default map from California i'm from Massachusetts Best Buy said I have to download updates for it to work again is this true? never had a problem with it before

Alpine always defaults to Torrance, California because that's where they are headquartered. It sounds like you have a bad (or unplugged) GPS antenna or it is not located properly (beneath metal, etc.).
