Green Power Light comes on...but doesn't do ANYTHING
Had this player since 2/04. Given the reviews & things I've read, I'm surprised its lasted this long. Though unlike many, I will say I got MANY hours of DVD watching out of it. The DC 9V plug burned out about a year ago & have stricly been going on battery power (I have an external charger for the battery Cyberhome graciously supplied for me)...2 days ago I had a movie playing in the car fine, when attempting to power it back on, green light on the side is on, but nothing else...the DISC doesn't even SPIN. (so its not the popular "audio, no picture" problem)...is it finally D-E-A-D? I almost wanna rip this guy open & look at its guts...though it doesn't have a whole lot of SCREWS!

I don't think it's dead!! yet. If power indicator is up then there is hope !
U said "the DISC doesn't even SPIN". Which means the player don't know whether there is a disc inside or the optical lens is dead or too drity or the lens cable might be broke.
If u dare, go ahead rip it open. If no screws, then there will be internal locks, U have to find a thin strong plastic or metal piece so u can wedge it from the side and gently open it. But before tht make sure there are no screws.
If u can open it then check for the above stated problems and post back
