Report "Hampton Bay Sidewinder ceiling fan. For ten years, wall mounted control functioned until it 'blew' when electrician was working on a remodel of another room. Installed another control (Progressive Lighting) that looked exactly like the original, it lasted a few weeks. Called customer care, they sent me what they called the original equipment, MinkaAire with reverse function. It lasted one day. Any ideas what could be wrong? Customer care now tells me that you can't have a dimmer on any fixture on same circuit. But we had one for 10 years....doesn't make sense. Help!"
