Hands only move back and forth
I have a Guess watch I bought cheap that needed a battery. After replacing the hands don't move. Only the second hand twitches. I think it needs cleaning. How do I do this. I have no money to pay someone to clean it. I have had the works out of the watch but don't know what to do after that.

The battery you put in may also be defective to start with. You need to have a proper watch battery tester to know if the battery is actually good.
As for cleaning a watch the watch maker will take all the tiny mechanical pieces apart, put them in to a very fine screen basket, and submerge the pieces in to the cleaning solution inside of an ultra sonic cleaning machine. Once cleaned he will maliciously re-assemble all the pieces in back in to the casing structure and lubricate with the very fine 000 viscosity oil used for watches. Then he will perform all the necessary mechanical adjustments.
Personally, if not properly trained and not having the proper tools and jigs I do not think you would be able do this type of work without ruining the watch...
