HandsFRee Problem I was trying to set the handsfree bluetooth system in my Tl 2004, but now i cannot switch back to the regular radio, and the screen keeps saying phone, i tried hitting the control buttons but nothing happends, it looks as if the computer froze, can anybody pls help me
I had/have the same issue. Only solution is to take to the dealer. And no guarantee they can fix. It is a corruption with the phone and the Handsfree system. I have a Blackberry 8830 World Phone and I had them working fine. My phone broke and I got a brand new (Same Phone). This new phone now will not sync. When I try to pair them it gets to the point where it asks for the code... and then locks up. Just like a frozen computer. If you have the radio codes and Navi codes you can disconnect the battery. Leave it set for about 5 minutes and try it again to let the system reset. I have tried multiple times and it will not work. I now just use my Jawbone bluetooth.... :) Acura dealer told me that.... It's the phone. I hope this helps
I called the acura hands free people and they told me to take my car to the dealer where they would preform a "hard reset" of the system. The dealer had never heard that term before, but concuded the hands free system had to be replaced entirely for about $1200. Luckily my extended warranty covered it. Replacing the unit seems to be the only real fix.
