Hello,
Flashing power light and no picture is a common indication on a failure in the power supply board. This is very common and well known issue. The power supply board is the DIAPHS0006D42 To rebuild the power supply board you will need to replace the parts called capacitors that have failed. Here is a link to additional information showing what parts will need to be replaced along with parts needed to rebuild the board.

I hope this helps,

I have just had this problem and have fixed it - hopefully. It is caused by some of the capacitors on the power circuit board failing - if you are up for a bit of soldering it is quite easy to fix and costs less than £5.
I will try and post a full solution if I can work out how to do it.
