Harbor breeze ceiling fan without light. I purchased part #77288. Hooked it up but am unable to turn the fan off. The switch i am replacing has four positions. Off, low, medium and high. All controlled by the fan pull switch. Did I wire wrong or do I have the wrong switch? PS: this is note controlled by a wall switch, fan pull switch only

Power needs to be connected to the black wire. If you only have one fan wire besides the white neutral, connect to one of the switch positions only.
