Hard disk is not readable, detectable however
My WD hard disk 2.5'' (WDBBEP0010BBK) fell down yesterday and today once I plugged in, I can able to see disk in Windows device manager, but partition is not detectable, it is coming as RAW and windows is asking to format disk, after a long time. I cannot format it any way, looking for other methods to fix it.

Providing you don't need any data on it. You can run a HDD test to help determine the problem. More then likely you have a bad read head/armature/motor/spindle plate/driver board. If you hear no sounds at all and it doesn't seem that drive is spinning at all.. a good chance it's the driver board gone bad. If you hear a scraping or clicking noise then it could be that armature/read head. In any case unless you need data recovered it's usually not worth fixing. It's highly recommended to backup all your data periodically. Running used drives on a desktop system, in a RAID configuration is always a good cheap choice that has data reliability.. if one drive fails simply replace it with another cheap used drive.. and since the drives are mirrored no data should be lost. If you want to continue to test it with a HDD program that can check the S.M.A.R.T feature of the HDD and other attributes.. it can give you a lot of information about what might be wrong.. if any major errors are found (large amount of bad sectors, etc.) it's not recommended to continue using the drive as the risk for future failures will be extremely high even if you manage to get it formatted.
What I mean't to say is.. Another thing I notice is if this is a external USB drive and you dropped it, then the drive might have became unstead inside the case you may need to take the case apart and check/reseat the drive. If that works I would still run a HDD test to make sure nothing else is wrong with the drive.
unstead = unseated argg, with the editing options on fixya.
