Hard drive motor just cant get a full head of steam going
This is now the second hd that has the same problem in this past month. When I turn the drive on to boot up, i can hear the motor start, but then it stops and starts again, sputtering trying to get up to speed and it never does. One drive now doesnt even try anymore and the other one just started and I'm afraid that it will completely die on me soon.

When the motor and the heads start getting noisy, clicking and whirring, and the hard disk access time gets abnormally longer than usual, that means that the disk can fail at any time.
