While running a movie off my hard drive today, i got an error message letting me know "device removal" had occured incorrectly. This often happens as the power serges but after re-pluging it is it is ok. This time I plugged it in and my computer wouldn't recognize it. I hear a high pitch sound when plugging it into a power source (tried three different) and the red light on the back flashes like it wants to turn on. But it will not fully boot. No blue light on top. No icon on my desktop. Nothing. I have a mac. I've restarted my computer. Nothing. HELP! My whole life is on this thing. I know, stupid but true.
