Hard drive shuts off after 10 seconds
Im having problems with my io 320 gb hard drive, it shuts off after 10 seconds. i tried switching cords and it stays powered until i turn my computer on, anyone else had this problem?

There are a variety of things that can malfunction on your external hard drive:
1) The cable
2) The external hard drive casing
3) The hard drive itself
If you have tried plugging in your hard drive to different computers and are still having the same issue, then there is either a problem with your casing or with the hard drive itself, because you've already switched out cables.
