HARD TO START CAN'T ACCELERATE
Engine wont fire over has spark fresh fuel will no hit on starking fluid 130 psi compression I have a similar problem with my poulan pro SM4018 I have to use starter spay to get it started then it will idle and even restart ,but when you try to accelerate the engine dies.If I keep the choke at almost full i can some time get it to accelerate. I'm at my wit's end I just read the article about the clogged muffler, any other suggestions would be appreciated. Regards GMF.

Have you done any work to the carburetor?Sounds like the carb. is dirty and needs to be cleaned. you may also need a carb. kit, depending on how old it is. If you need further assistance on how to do this, feel free to ask.
