Hardware problem of siemens C2110 ADSL modems
After using 2/3 months the C 2110 siemens modem's (Type 1) link light does not get stable when switch on .What may be the possible hardware or component fault for this problem ? How I can rectify or repair the modem so the link light should be stable & same modem can be reuse.

Hello.. i am using the same modem c2110 since 10 months. It was working smoothly, but now since a month above said probelm facing. It is getting connected, but after some minutes(sometimes 10,20,30,,,) the link light blinking. sometimes it becomes stable itself. I tride a solution, removed the phone cable from modem and connected it to a phone, just press speaker phone to hear dial tone, the re-fix it to modem, it works...! but just for sometime only...and repeats the problem. .what is the solution?
If you were using "Dialup" earlier , you may check the ethernet card plugged in properly.
suggestion 1:
Open IE and clear all old temp files and history.
Check rj45 is plugged in properly to the ethernet card.
Have you checked the ethernet card drivers/condition in Device Manager.?
If realtek card an update of the driver may be necessary.
Try again type 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.1.2
If still not opening ping 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.1.2 and report result.
Suggestion 2
Start/Network/ Wanminiport create a dialer and enter your user ID and password
may be it is in bridged mode
Suggestion 3 :
Try the USB option. insert Cd and load the usb drivers to say C:/c2110.
Now connect the modem USBport to cable to computer USB port
Start computer. Let Windows detect new hardware. follow procedure.

it could be a faulty modem , but before coming to such a conclusion, check if your pc is getting an ip address first.go to the command prompt(Start->Run and type cmd) and type ipconfig and post output here.you should be seeing an ip address like 192.168.1.x if not then try entering an ip manually in the tcp/ip properties of your LAN card in control panel->network connections .If you are still not able to access your modem , then it could by faulty
