Have a 2002 2.7l chysler putting the harmonic balancer back on. Don't have this special tool they are talking about.Never used one before
Can I put it in the over the pulley heat it up it would make the metal expand making it slip on easier never tried this before would that damage it the heat?

I am getting two types of harmonic balance r for the 2.7 engine
if yours is the rubber part and you have to slip on the metal pully on the outside
then yes it has to be fitted with the special tool and very accurate fit required
if in doubt
leave it to a mechanical workshop
if they stuff it up then its their cost
if just a old school type harmonic balance r
use a puller to take them off
to put on
fit balacner to crank
thread the holding bolt on then torque to spec
