That insert must have a milli-volt gas valve. The safety feature used on them type valves is a Thermophile/generator. When these generators get weak they will hold the pilot but when called upon to operate the gas valve solenoid they simply die. Replace the pilot generator.

Now IF your insert is an ODS system (I have no way of knowing exactly where to look for that model number by the way) If the insert uses the popular Oxygen Depletion System safety then your pilot is dusty inside. The oxygen is lowered inside the dusty pilot safety and so it does it's job and shuts down like it's supposed to. What I do is flush out the pilot with a little rust buster. Then wait till that drys. This keeps from messing with the pilot flap and damaging the pilot. This page shows where to clean and includes a video of how it works
