Have a HBW1241 which I had programed in my car. Got rid of the car. Now I want go go back to the remote openers which came with the system, but I cant program it to open the Garage Door. Please advise

Locate the smart/learn button on the rear of the motor unit. Press and hold the remote button while you press and immediately release the smart/learn button. Do this for each remote you have.
Press the button on your remote and see if the led next to the program button flickers.
If it does not replace the battery.
If it does hold down the program button for 30 seconds to clear all codes then press and release the program button, press the remote and hold for about 10 seconds. the next time you Press the remote the door should go.
