Have a heat pump mod# 13pja18ao1 r-22 unit trying to fix someone eles bad install . when i got there unit was flat they have alot of old issues with this comp won't kick in only fan even with ajump start kit does this unit have low pressure switch keeping it off diagram shows opt for this unit need to know more steps to take to find out problem

Vince, that's pretty funny. If you are trying to fix a bad install on an r22 unit you're probably a little late. second, no offense, but if you don't know if it has a low pressure switch, you might not be the right guy to be fixing it. If the unit was flat it has probably had a long history of running low on refrigerant which will definitely harm the compressor. Then all the times it's been recharged who knows what's in it AND how much non condensibles are in there. Sounds like you need more than fixya!! Best Wishes!!
