Have a Janome 6600 and all the lights are out. Replaced the bulb over the needle plate, but it only lasted about 30-40 sewing hours. How can I repair this? no repair shops in my area. I am handy
F it is a screw in bulb the likely reason for bulb failure is the ground spring contact that rubs on the thread as you screw it in they loose tension and when the machine is in use they vibrate on the side of that screw section and arc just like a welder this continuous arcing creates excessive current flow and that tends to burn the bulbs the fix is to turn the power off at the wall and use something to bend that spring tab out further so that there is resistance as you screw the bulb in
