Have a QG 4000. Model 4KYFA26100L. Been running all summer. Wintering the Rv, had put stabilizer in the fuel tank and had intended to start the Gen to run stabilized fuel through it. Forgot and now have the house batteries removed. Tried connecting truck to house leads. Very slow crank then would not stop cranking when shut off when switched off from inside Rv. Called Remote switch? Thought maybe not enough from truck battery so connected house batteries (2-6volt) and same response. Solenoid stuck closed or Something in the starter?

It does sound like the solenoid is sticking,before you crank it over,try "Tapping" the solenoid with a small hammer,for about 30 seconds,then try re-cranking,if it still does the same then the starter is faulty
