Have a Systemax Venture PC. Recently got DSL modem only I can't use the ethernet due to there being no controller driver. I went the website and punched in the serial number for drivers and still couldn't find the correct driver. Can anything be done? Thanks
Your ethernet device is probably intergrated onto the motherboard. So you need to go back to the website and enter your serial number. It will bring up the manual for that unit. Go into the contents and find the model number for the ethernet device under LAN SUBSYSTEM right on the contents page. You can find the ONLINE SUPPORT page there also. Then go to Intel's website at Intel.com/design/motherbd. It will take you to a page not found screen but it will also give you the download center. Click on that and on the downloads page go to ethernet conponents and it will bring up ethernet controllers which in turn will bring up different models. Try saving each one at a time in your desktop untill you find the one with your driver. Mine was model 82562ET. Good Luck
