Have an Panasonic Model#TC-P42U1 Plasma HDTV Television. I would like to use external speakers with this TV. However there is a special output connector in the rear of the TV set. I would like to find out what cable-connector would be needed for this special output connector?

This tv has Digital Out port near HDMI-1 port that can be connected with receiver to have tv sound in external speakers.
Digital Optical Cable is needed to hook tv with receiver/ amplifier that has similar Digital Input port to get audio signal from tv.
You can buy digtial optical cable from Amazon.com at reasonable price or visit Radio Shake.
