Hello,
If your A/C stop cooling check the follwing.
Check your filter. This is paramount as a dirty air filter will restrict air flow and limit the efficiency of the condenser to cool the air. Typically it is recommended that the air filter be changed every month but there are some on the market today that require three month replacement.
Make sure the exhaust vents in all the rooms are open and free from debris. If your duct system is in the ceiling make sure they are fully open. If the system exhausts through the floor make sure they are fully open and not covered by shoes, clothing, furniture and/or household items.
The outside unit should be free of any obstructions or debris as this will reduce the amount of air passing through the condenser.
Thanks for contacting Fixya.
could the unit be needing coolant?
Hello. Replace the thermostat to solve the 3 minutes on and 10 minutes off issue. J.
The thermostat is part of the recently installed electronic control panel.
Does the thermostat connects directly to the capacitor or some relay?
