Have General Electric standup freezer; model # FUF2DMARWH. Left door open a tad, over night. Unplugged it in morning for 10 min., then plugged it in and it seemed to be working as the temp. dropped somewhat but by next morning not freezing. Ice on floor. Unplugged it for 12 hrs. then plugged it in but 12 hrs. later it had not dropped in temp. at all. So I think some component burned out. Anybody know what that could be? Don't have the money to pay a repair man or buy a new one. Wife angry
Turn off freezer and remove freezer panel at bottom in back. if evap.coil full of ice then defrost all ice. if no ice build-up then compressor may need new relay.
