The bulldog brand remote starter does not need tach, it uses votage sensing, undue the tach connection and see if this works, did you use a bypass module in this car
There is some sort of a feedback to tell the starter if the unit is running - make sure you have the 'tach feedback' connected. There are settings for it to run the starter for specific length of time, or for it to know that it started by the tach feedback. Check your users' manual.
